Ordering:
-How do I order?
You may place an order by filling out the form on my website under the Order tab, or by messaging my Facebook business page. I will respond to your order request and confirm my availability, offer an initial price estimate, and discuss further order details with you. Please keep in mind that I am a one woman show with two young children and sometimes it can take me a couple days to answer your inquiries. I appreciate your patience!
-A 50% non-refundable retainer is due immediately to confirm your order. If not paid, your order is not on my calendar.
I accept payment for orders through Venmo or via Square invoice, which offers Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card entry. The remaining amount is due no later than 3 days before your scheduled pickup. Failure to pay forfeits your order.
-Do you offer refunds?
I do not issue refunds of any sort. Should an issue arise, please reach out to me to discuss a resolution.
-Do you accept cancellations?
I accept cancellations up until 3 days before your scheduled pickup. Should you need to cancel and it is after the 3 day requirement, I am happy to reschedule your order if I have the new date available, or I can issue a credit to your account that is good for 6 months from your initial payment date. Please keep in mind that the retainer payment is non-refundable.
-I would like to change my design/ order, can I?
I will try my best to accommodate changes, but they must be requested no later than 1 week before your scheduled event.
-How far in advance do I need to order?
I need at least a 7 days notice, so try to book as soon as possible! Weekend dates book up faster than others so the sooner you reach out - the better! All orders are first come, first serve.
-Do you offer discounts for large orders?
No, prices firmly apply to all orders regardless of order size.
Allergen/ingredient Info:
-Do you offer gluten/dairy/allergen free items?
Not at this time. Please make me aware of any allergens at the time of your order! All bakery items contain flour, dairy, and eggs and are prepared in my at-home kitchen where they could potentially come in contact with other known allergens. Sweets by Lynsey is not liable for any allergic reactions. You assume responsibility to notify your event guests of any allergens.
-Do you offer cream cheese or fruit fillings?
I strictly follow Missouri’s cottage food laws, which unfortunately do not allow the usage of cream cheese or fresh fruit fillings.
Creative Design:
-I found these cookies/cake online- can you recreate them?
If you send me a picture to replicate I will do the best in my ability to match what you’re requesting; however, I cannot guarantee an exact replica, especially using different mediums.
-Can you recreate this character/logo design?
I will not recreate any copyrighted characters or logos on any dessert.
However, you (the customer) can buy licensed toy figurines/toppers to bring to me to place on the cake and decorate around.
Pickup / Shipping / Delivery:
-Where are you located/can you ship to me?
I am located in Republic MO and at this time I do not offer shipping!
-How do I contact you/visit your bakery?
I am a cottage food baker, which means I operate out of my personal home. I do not have a storefront or keep prepared items on-hand. You may contact me via messaging my Facebook page @sweetsbylynsey, or by email @sweetsbylynsey@gmail.com. I am not available for phone calls due to the lack of paper trail reminders.
-Do you deliver?
No. All items are porch pickup at my home bakery located in Republic.
Porch Popups / Events:
-How do porch pop-ups work?
I host porch pop-ups on my front porch around certain holidays/cultural events when my personal time allows. These events are first come, first serve and I do not hold/reserve any items. Available options will range.
For these events, I accept cash and Venmo. You must watch my social media to be alerted of these types of events as they are not pre-scheduled.
Presales:
-How do presales work?
I advertise options and post them under the “PRE-SALE” tab of my website at a specific time. All purchases are first come, first serve and quantities are limited. You must pay for presale items at the time of placing your order. Items are not refundable.

-The item I wanted says sold out- can you just do one more?
I would if I could! I place strict quantities to ensure I can complete the work. I promise I’ve probably oversold my sanity a little bit already :)
